Many people turn to annual or semiannual sales to score a deal or shop at membership clubs such as Costco to buy personal care products or groceries in bulk to save a buck. The Middletown Press notes that with sales events, many retailers usually stock up on merchandise and are left with extra.

As Reuters reports, Costco’s inventory is up at 26%, and this number comes from a May 8 report due, in part, to Costco being a "little heavy" with its stocking of household items and small appliances. In this case, this surplus of items might lead to another possible sale event at Costco.

Costco’s Memorial Day sale offered discounts on appliances, mattresses, household furniture, and some tech items (via Costco), thus, many can expect some of these items to continue to be on sale. However, as The Middletown Press notes, it may be harder to project just which items will be sold through promotions and when said sales will be held in the next few months.
