Alex Guarnaschelli’s Simple Yet Tearful Tribute To Angela Lansbury
By JUSTINA HUDDLESTON
Social media is mourning the death of British star Angela Lansbury, whose influence extended even into the food world — she once published a book on diet and exercise, and has influenced cookbooks like 2022’s “Murder, She Cooked.” After her passing, notable culinary stars paid their respects.
Alex Guarnaschelli, star of “Alex vs America” and “Iron Chef,” wrote a short and sweet message for Lansbury on Twitter — “I love Angela Lansbury. Rest in Peace.” Chef Andrew Zimmern also tweeted his condolences, saying, “may her memory be a blessing to her family and friends.”
Guarnaschelli’s fans, too, shared their sympathies for Angela Lansbury. One person responded, “I’m with you. I love Dame Lansbury. She was SO GREAT!” while another user shared a clip of Lansbury’s performance of the Broadway musical “Sweeney Todd” song “The Worst Pies in London.”
