Andrew Zimmern’s French Onion Soup Just Broke The Internet
By TAYLOR HUANG
It’s fall, and at this time of year there’s no better way to warm up after a brisk evening walk than a bowl of homemade soup. Andrew Zimmern — the host of “Bizarre Foods” — is a fan of cozy foods, and he recently took to Twitter to promote the dinner he makes most often — restaurant-quality french onion soup.
Before his time on the Travel Channel, Zimmern worked for four years at a bistro called Cafe Un Deux Trois in the ‘90s, where he learned what he calls “the best” recipe for french onion soup. Zimmern has the recipe for the soup on his website — which he linked to in his tweet on October 12, 2022.
It seems that many people have tried the recipe already — explaining the part in Zimmern’s tweet that fans had caused the web page to crash before. As the site doesn’t seem to be having any problems currently, soup lovers should definitely sample the soup Zimmern labeled, “the best onion soup I ever tasted.”
