Before You Leave The Grocery Store, Take Coco Chanel's Advice

As unexpected as it may be, one iconic piece of fashion advice from French designer Coco Chanel applies surprisingly well to grocery shopping.
Per Vogue Australia, Chanel famously advised: "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off."
Shoppers would be well served applying the same general approach in the grocery store, but they’d have to look into their carts instead of the mirror.
With skyrocketing food prices in mind, evaluate your cart before checking out and leave one or two items behind if they don't need to come home with you.
If you stick to your list, the trick may not work, but if you're prone to tossing a few tasty-looking items in your cart as you browse, you could save a decent chunk of change.
