Burger King Launched A New Whopper For Pride Month, But There's A Catch
By ALIA HOYT

June is Pride Month, and there are many opportunities to throw support behind LGBTQ+ friends and family by supporting businesses that support them. Burger King is one of these businesses supporting the community, and they are releasing their Pride Whopper this year with an important catch.

Released with the tagline "Time to Be Proud," Burger King Austria's Pride Whopper features the standard toppings and ingredients of a flame-grilled beef or plant-based patty with tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions, mayo, and ketchup. According to Today, the limited-time-only menu item is made "for equal love and equal rights" and is available until June 20.

U.S. Burger King locations don't seem to have a current version of the Pride Whopper, although it's sold a regular Whopper with rainbow packaging in a show of LGBTQ+ support in the past. Based on the popularity of Austria's incarnation, it wouldn't be a shock to see it stateside next year.
