Many people consider homemade guacamole a tasty treat. This famous Mexican dish dates back to the 14th century, and many renowned chefs, including Geoffrey Zakarian, have put their own unique spin on it.
In a recent Instagram reel, the Food Network chef and cookbook author shared his guacamole recipe. It is not so much the ingredients Zakarian uses that make the recipe unique, but it’s the lumpy texture of the dish.
The key to great guacamole, it turns out, boils down to texture, and Zakarian specifically said, “Do not MASH to purée...the lumps are gold!" Many of his followers enthusiastically agreed with this tip, even if they were more split on the inclusion of cilantro.
