Fans of Jimmy John’s may have seen advertising in its stores for the day-old French bread sale and wondered if it’s a gimmick, but it’s the real deal.
By offering customers day-old loaves, the chain reduces unnecessary food waste. One of their fresh loaves can cost up to $3, but the day-olds are less than half the price.
If you're concerned about freshness, don't worry. A Jimmy John's employee on Reddit says they freeze the unsold bread overnight so it maintains its same-day freshness.
