Here's What Happened To Cup Board Pro After Shark Tank
By MOLLY CLARK
NYC firefighter Keith Young invented the Cup Board Pro — an eco-friendly cutting board with an extended tray to collect extra juices and food scraps. Sadly, Young died due to cancer from working at Ground Zero on 9/11, so his children, Kaley, Christian, and Keira, brought his invention to Season 10 of “Shark Tank.”
After winning over and striking a deal with each of the Sharks, the Youngs say their entire inventory sold out within an hour of the show airing, receiving 100,000 emails from fans trying to order the board. The Sharks then connected the kids with Williams-Sonoma to manufacture and sell the cutting boards.
The Youngs also set up a GoFundMe account when they received thousands of emails from people who wanted to help firefighters, and managed to raise $41,119. The children presented the donations to the NYC Fire Department in 2019, with all five Sharks seated at the front row during the ceremony.
