How Burger King's Patties Are Really Made
by NICOLE ANDERSON
Burger King has prioritized authenticity and transparency since opening in 1954, claiming their patties are 100% beef with no additives or fillers.
As the patties are delivered frozen, they stay fresh without preservatives. Soco Nunez, Marketing director for Burger King UK, says their distinct flavor comes from flame-grilling.
Their frozen patties are exposed to direct high heat through their proprietary broiler and open flames, giving them that familiar, smokey taste.
Burger King introduced a plant-based patty in America in 2019 with the launch of their Impossible Whopper. This vegan-friendly alternative is flame-grilled using the same broiler.
