Krispy Kreme says that you can visit any store or drive-thru on Sep. 29 and get a hot or iced coffee for free, and Krispy Kreme rewards members can also get a free donut (sign up online or on the app). Dunkin' and Tim Hortons are also offering free coffee deals, but they require that you make a separate purchase first.

In a Mashed survey regarding the best Krispy Kreme donut, the Original Glazed version won a resounding 48% of the vote. This iconic donut has been a favorite since 1937, so if you've never tried Krispy Kreme before, the Original Glazed donut is your best bet to get the most out of the National Coffee Day deal.
