McDonald’s Happy Meal Toys That Are Worth A Lot Of Money
By FELIX BEHR & MOLLY HARRIS
McDonald's is known for a lot of things — burger, fries, chicken nuggets, and ice cream machines that never seem to work — but the chain's Happy Meal toys are so popular, they can draw crowds of collectors upon release and fetch some insanely high resale prices. These are two kinds of Happy Meal toys that collectors will drop some serious money on.
Beanie Babies
McDonald first offered Beanie Babies in 1998, and brought them back in 2004 and 2019. The 2004 release celebrated the Happy Meal's 25th anniversary with McDonald's-themed Beanie Babies, some of which are listed on eBay for over $70; however, another seller offers these Happy Meal toys for just $5.99.
Pokémon Cards
In 2021, McDonald's released Happy Meal Pokémon cards that became extremely popular. On the lower end of the price range, holographic Grookey cards have sold for $14.52 to $52, while a holographic card of Charmander sold for $128, and three separate holographic Pikachu cards sold for $211.50, $218.61, and $370.
