Pizza Lava Toast Is The Best Snack (Or Quick Meal)

The latest social media trend, pizza lava toast, is a modern take on mid-century English muffin pizzas that uses two slices of bread to create a "lava" effect.
On a piece of bread, make a border out of cheese slices, then top it with another piece of bread. Smush the top piece’s center and fill it with pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings.
Bake it in the oven until both layers of cheese melt, then let it cool for a few minutes. This snack is incredibly customizable, and you can use many types of bread.
The bread slices should be thin enough so that the double layers of cheese melt before the outsides burn. You can use any type of cheese, but pre-shredded cheese isn't recommended.
It’s best to cut thicker slices of cheese from a block of cheese. You can also switch up the pasta sauce for something like alfredo, and with the toppings, anything goes.
