Reddit Is Losing It Over A Beer Brand Sold At
Whole Foods
By KAREN HART
Belgian beer is an important part of the country's culture, and its unique nature is tied to the influence and collective alcohol knowledge of its neighboring countries. Considering the attention these beverages receive from fans, it's no surprise that Reddit was ecstatic when a user shared that Whole Foods carries a large bottle of a popular brand of Belgian golden ale.
According to a Reddit post, Whole Foods carries Belgian beer Duvel, which was awarded a gold medal at the 2022 Meininger's International Craft Beer Award in the “Blonde Strong Ale” competition. The Reddit community is rather impressed with the ale and the large size of the bottle in the post.
Regarding the best way to pour a Duvel, one Redditor advised, “Make sure you pour it right, there's a science to it,” while a YouTube video provides a step-by-step tutorial that says: Leave about 1 cm of beer in the bottle so you don't end up pouring the yeast residue into your glass. Regarding the taste, a Redditor wrote, “One of the best Belgian strong beers.”
