Dinner is one of those meals that can be a drag, but quick and easy recipes are available for everyone. The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, has a recipe for refrigerator rolls that will fit anyone’s busy schedule.
Drummond is inspired to change how people perceive dinner, as she doesn’t like to feel the pressure of eating all the dinner rolls or seeing them go to waste. Drummond explained that she used to grab the dough out of the fridge and make two of these rolls at a time.
Grab some butter, sugar, an egg, shortening, flour, and kosher salt to make this simple recipe. A vital first step is to let the yeast soak in warm water until it turns foamy to allow the yeast to bloom.
Mix the butter, sugar, and egg in a separate bowl, then go ahead and combine this mixture with the yeast, flour, and salt. Cover and place in the refrigerator, and let it sit for a minimum of eight hours.
