Slow Cooker Cowboy Beans Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 (15-oz) cans beans, any variety, rinsed
- ⅓ cup pickled jalapeños
- 6 sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Shredded cheese, for topping (optional)

Servings: 6 servings

10 mins. prep; 2½ hours cook

1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet. Add the onion, then pour into the bottom of a slow cooker/Crockpot.


2. Mix in brown sugar, barbecue sauce, molasses, and seasonings. Stir well.

3. Add the beans, gently fold to incorporate, and stir in the jalapeño. Scatter half the bacon across the top.


4. Cook on high for 2 ½ hours or low for 4 hours. Top with the remaining bacon and serve.
