Steak Recipes Every Carnivore Will Love
By MARIA SCINTO
Gordon Ramsay's Steak
Our recipe developer has changed this Gordon Ramsay recipe by using a sous vide machine — but if you don't have one, simply skip that step and go straight for the sear as Ramsay does. However, a raw steak will need to cook for a few minutes longer than a sous-vided one.
3-Ingredient Steak Marinade
The soy sauce adds some salty flavor, while the oil helps the flavors stick to the meat and prevents it from getting too dry as it cooks. Additionally, the balsamic vinegar brings plenty of flavor of its own while also containing sufficient acid to turn tough cuts into tender ones.
Bobby Flay's Salisbury Steak
For this recipe, Bobby Flay seasons his steaks with a blend of spices and some parmesan cheese and cooks them in a delicious creamy mushroom sauce. We've tweaked his recipe a bit further by turning the steaks into meatballs and adding noodles to make for a one-plate meal.
Chicken Fried Steak
With a piece of sirloin and some time, you can try your hand at this diner classic. The steak is dipped in batter, fried, and then smothered in a creamy gravy — but if doing such a thing to a pricey cut of beef seems like sacrilege, you can always try it with a pork steak, instead.
Instant Pot Swiss Steak
In this recipe, the steak is tenderized via Instant Pot and covered in a tomato-based sauce. As the steak falls apart into shreds when cooked, it makes for kind of a sloppy dish — but you can serve the meat and sauce atop a bowl of mashed potatoes so none of the sauce goes to waste.
