Taco Bell Hinted At The Return Of This Fan-Favorite With A Twist
By NAOMI KENNEDY
Fast-food eateries are constantly rolling out new and exciting meals, but Taco Bell fans seem to want the old items more than anything else. The restaurant had hinted that a fan-favorite menu item would soon be making a comeback — and with an exciting twist.
In January 2018, the release of Nacho Fries was Taco Bell’s “most successful product launch in company history," per the chain's website, and yet, they were discontinued just four months after they debuted. Luckily for fans, Taco Bell teased the return of the Fries via a clip on their Twitter, with a text overlay that read, “Your favorite returns with a hot new twist.”
Speculations arose as one Twitter user asked, "Sooo fire frys?????" while another theorized it was "lava sauce" from the chain's “volcano menu.” Food blogger Markie Devo, however, revealed in an Instagram post that the “hot new twist” was TRUFF sauce — a spicy sauce that would be in Loaded Truff Nacho Fries and be available with regular Nacho Fries.
