Taco Bell Corp. announced that on March 31, 2020, the company will give everyone in the country one free beef nacho cheese Doritos Locos Taco, no purchase necessary, to drive-thru customers at participating locations while supplies last as a way of thanking people who are helping their communities in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The company also announced it would relaunch its Round Up program, which gives customers the option to "round up" their order total to the nearest dollar, to raise funds for the No Kid Hungry campaign. The Taco Bell Foundation will also be donating $1 million to the campaign. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Taco Bell Is Bringing Back A Mega Fan-Favorite, But You Have To Vote On It
By AMY HAMBLEN
Taco Bell is one of the few fast food chains to give its customers a little more control over the return of menu items — but with a catch. Taco Bell Rewards members were asked to vote for the return of just one of two items that were previously on the chain's menu — the Enchirito and the Double Decker Taco.
The Enchirito is an enchilada-burrito hybrid comprising a soft flour tortilla, beef, beans, diced onions, red sauce, and cheese, and it was discontinued in 2013. The Double Decker Taco, discontinued in 2019, is a crunchy beef taco wrapped in a soft flour tortilla layered with beans.
Fans weighed in via a Taco Bell Instagram post, where, at the end of September 2022, the response "DOUBLE DECKER" received 100 likes, while the comment "Enchirito!!!" received only 55 likes. Taco Bell will show which returning item won on October 7, with the winning item available at participating locations at a later date.
