The Beautiful Project Duff Goldman Finally Finished For His Daughter
By MOLLY CLARK
For months, Duff Goldman had been working on handmade and hand-painted alphabet blocks for his daughter, Josephine Frances, who was born to Goldman and his wife Johnna in January 2021. On July 30, 2022, Goldman took to Instagram to announce that he had finished the project and plans to build a velvet-lined wooden box to store the blocks.
Sharing pics of all the six sides of the blocks, Goldman explained in the caption, "Each block is cut from a single piece of poplar, sanded, primed, spray painted, and hand painted." Two of each block's sides feature an alphabet — one side in uppercase and one in cursive — and the other four have paintings of animals, foods, and objects that start with their respective letters.
"Extreme Cake Makers'" Molly Robbins (@mollymakescakes) shared their praise for the blocks, writing, "So much love gone into these. Beautiful." User @keeperoftheleftovers commented, "A generational toy!!! So many children are going to play with this!!! #priceless" while @vivianberk wrote, "You did a fantastic job. All the other dads are thinking they need to step up their game."
