The Best Steakhouse In Every State
By KORI ELLIS
Alabama: Big Mike's Steakhouse
Big Mike's Steakhouse might have various seafood options — but it's the steak that was named the state's best steak by the Alabama Cattlemen Association. They have locations in Andalusia, Thomasville, Moundville, and Orange Beach.
Alaska: Club Paris
Club Paris, located in Anchorage, Alaska, was initially created in the 1950s to look like a sidewalk cafe you'd find in the capital city of France. Club Paris is famous for its juicy, must-have filet mignon that weighs in at 14 ounces and is 4-inches thick.
Arizona: Durant's
Durant's, a 70-year-old family-owned institution based in Phoenix, has fabulous steaks as well as a dessert menu that includes everything from creme brulee to strawberry shortcake. You might also snag a periodically handed-out token that gives you a lifetime's worth of free dessert.
Arkansas: The Porterhouse
The Porterhouse, located in Hot Springs, is the best steakhouse in the state. From their eponymous porterhouse that tips the scales at 22 ounces to the grilled swordfish steak, the entire menu looks delectable — but it's the Filet a la Oscar that steals the show.
California: Osso Steakhouse
While the food at San Francisco’s Osso Steakhouse isn't exactly cheap, it's worth loosening your purse strings. At this top-rated eatery, you get big, beautiful pieces of meat in a setting with a charming ambiance and an attentive staff.
