The ‘Breakfast Box’ King Charles III Takes Everywhere
By HANNAH BEACH
When you think of the traditional English breakfast you might imagine beans on toast, eggs, and sausage, but the breakfast enjoyed by the British royal family is much simpler. Queen Elizabeth ate Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes every morning, and her son is following suit with a simple breakfast tailored to his own tastes.
King Charles III has a “breakfast box” that provides him with several breakfast choices on any given morning, and this box even accompanies him on his travels. According to one former chef, the box contains “six different types of honey, some special mueslis, his dried fruits, and anything that’s a bit special that he is a bit fussy about.”
The breakfast box comes as no surprise considering King Charles has always been specific about his food to the point of handpicking his own organic produce. However, it may come as a surprise that King Charles prefers a light breakfast of bread, fruit, and juice rather than the traditional English breakfast.
