The Fall Ice Cream That’s Coming Back To Ben & Jerry’s
By ELAINA FRIEDMAN
From classic flavors like Half Baked to clever concoctions like Phish Food and even a few celebrity collaborations like Chance the Rapper’s Mint Chocolate Chance, there’s a lot to love about Ben & Jerry’s Ice cream. There’s even more to love now, as the company has just brought back a fan-favorite fall ice cream flavor.
A base of rich pumpkin cheesecake ice cream is swirled with ribbons of graham cracker in Ben & Jerry's Pumpkin Cheesecake flavor, which is officially back in the freezers for a limited time. The ice cream is loved by many, with some claiming they wait all year for it to come back; the only drawback is the lack of dairy-free or vegan options.
Developed by “Flavor Guru” Eric Fredette, Pumpkin Cheesecake was first introduced in 2007 and has been kept in rotation because of its popularity. The ice cream stands out among other fall-flavored items because it’s made with fresh pumpkin, and as Ben & Jerry’s puts it, “We’re not big on simply pumpkin spicing our way to serious flavor, so we stick with the real deal.”
