The Retired Oreo Flavor That Just Made A Comeback
By AMBERLY MCKEE
Oreo cookies are known for their array of different and delicious flavors, with 65 new flavors being released since 2012. Oreo’s senior director Justin Parnell said in a New York Times interview that new flavors increase sales of both classic and limited edition Oreos, and now one popular Oreo flavor is about to return to the market.
The Oreo Instagram revealed on September 22 that the Brookie-O flavor is making a comeback for a limited time. First released in 2020, the Brookie-O features three layers of cream including brownie, cookie dough, and the original Oreo cream.
The Brookie-O reveal was met with excitement by commenters online, with one Instagram user thanking the company for “answering my prayers.” The U.S. exclusive cookie has some international fans envious, and some people believe that the “cream is too thick,” but for Oreo lovers, that’s not a bad problem to have.
