The Seafood Restaurant You Probably Forgot Zach Braff Owned

Many of America's favorite singers and actors have become restaurateurs in the course of their careers. Besides being known for his role in “Scrubs,” actor Zach Braff is a writer, a director, and a restaurateur, too, as he is the co-owner of a New York restaurant — The Mermaid Oyster Bar.
Braff co-owns The Mermaid Oyster Bar — located in NYC’s Greenwich Village neighborhood — with chef and childhood friend Laurence Edelman. The restaurant has three other locations in the city, though they’re named The Mermaid Inn and don’t have any affiliation with Braff.
The Mermaid Oyster Bar serves several oyster varieties, lobster rolls, and a variety of fish. In 2012, Gotham Mag lauded the seafood eatery for its lobster rolls, and it currently has a 4.5 rating on TripAdvisor, with one reviewer writing, “Great Place! If [you] like oysters and enjoy a cocktail this is the place for you.”
