The States Where You'll Never Find A Waffle House

Depending on where you live, it's fairly certain that at some point you’ve enjoyed some quality time in a Waffle House. However, there are certain areas around the country where people have never experienced the joy and wonder of a Waffle House, without venturing out on road trips.
Although there are approximately 1,977 Waffle Houses in the USA as of July 2022, you won’t find a single Waffle House location in California, Oregon, and Washington on your cross-country trek from east to west. The last stop for satisfying your Waffle House fix before arriving on the left coast would be Arizona, which has 15 locations.
Despite having nearly 2,000 locations, Waffle Houses are only found in 26 states, and those in Alaska and Hawaii are completely out of luck. On the other hand, the state with the highest number of Waffle Houses, 432 to be exact, is Georgia — although this is only fitting, because the original Waffle House opened there in 1955.
