The Truth About Kevin From Great British Bake Off Season 13
By AMY HAMBLEN
Kevin Flynn, one of the 12 contestants of Season 13 of the “Great British Bake Off,” is also a music teacher and performer from Lanarkshire, Scotland, who graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music. In addition to being an accomplished saxophonist, the 33-year-old also plays flute, piano, and clarinet.
Flynn is a family guy; he devotes time to his loved ones, including his wife, Rachel, and also finds time to bake and create some pretty photogenic treats. As evident from his Instagram account — where he posts quite a variety of delicious-looking desserts, including prosecco, strawberry macarons, and apple rose tart — he does know a thing or two about baking.
Flynn, who started baking at 17, likes to use seasonal ingredients and come up with “interesting combinations of fruits, herbs, nuts, and spices.” When Flynn took to Instagram to post a video of himself playing the GBBO theme on piano, Season 12 winner Giuseppe Dell'Anno commented, “And you can make your own soundtrack! Amazing!”
