The Truth About Olive Garden's Unlimited Soup And Salad
By MARIA SCINTO
While Olive Garden may not offer the best-tasting or even the most authentic Italian food, their breadsticks are certainly worth it. Customers can enjoy unlimited quantities of breadsticks, salad, and soup — choosing between Chicken & Gnocchi, Minestrone, Zuppa Toscana, and Pasta e Fagioli.
Per Chowhound, the Pasta e Fagioli is a bit bland, while Minestrone was “simple yet satisfying,” and the creamy Chicken & Gnocchi “felt like a warm hug on a cold winter's day.” The Zuppa Toscana — a sausage, kale, and potato concoction — was the clear winner for its chunky texture and slightly spicy flavor.
As for the salad — Chowhound mentions that it’s mostly iceberg and onions, sparsely topped with tomatoes, pepperoncini, and black olives, but with good croutons. Clearly, Olive Garden excels in all things bread-related, and who can really say no to their unlimited breadsticks.
