The Whiskey That's Inspired By A Fan-Favorite Sitcom
By JANELLE ALBERTS
The sitcom “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” features a group of friends who run a fictional, South Philadelphia Irish pub. In July 2022, three of the show’s male leads — Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney, and Charlie Day — decided to launch a new brand of whiskey in homage to the show’s bar and backdrop, Paddy’s Pub.
The first selection from the new brand, called Four Walls, is an $89 Irish whiskey blend with Pennsylvania-sourced rye whiskey. The second selection, priced close to a thousand dollars, is made from a single-barrel, aged 15 years — just like the show — and features autographs of the three contributing stars.
Additionally, the second selection is targeted to connoisseurs who not only appreciate flavor, but also exclusivity, as less than 800 bottles of it have been made. The official Four Walls website notes that all proceeds made from the whiskey sales will go to non-profit organizations that benefit the bartending community.
