As the saying goes, “Don’t judge a book by its cover,” because judging by appearances can lead to you being very wrong. “Kids Baking Championship” host Duff Goldman and “Cake Boss” star Buddy Valastro are proof that guessing ages simply by looks is a bad idea.

One Twitter user shocked the foodie world when she wrote, "@CakeBossBuddy is 2.5 years younger than @duffgoldman (45 vs. 47).” Another Twitter user, who is 46, replied to Goldman's quote tweet, "I thought Buddy was at least ten years older than me."

Fans have plenty of theories about why Goldman might appear younger than Valastro, such as Valastro having four kids while Goldman only has one. Goldman teased that "Clean livin'" keeps him looking youthful, leading one user to suggest, "the secret is in the water."
