Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's childhood dream was to be a pro soccer (or football) player, and he was even scouted by the Scottish football club Rangers FC at 15 years old. Unfortunately, an injury cut Ramsay's athletic career short, but he's obviously flourished since then, and now, he's earned recognition from Rangers FC once more.
Rangers FC gifted Ramsay his very own jersey when the chef toured their training facility, and fans got seriously excited over photos and videos that the club posted to Twitter. "Both the best in the world at what the [sp] do for a living," one fan commented on a video of Ramsay meeting Rangers FC's captain, James Tavernier.
Though the jersey is clearly for show, some fans think that adding Ramsay to the team would be a good idea. "I mean intimidation factor from him if he's in Hell's Kitchen mode," said Twitter user @jackh670. The 55-year-old chef does happen to enjoy lots of exercise; Ramsay runs marathons and has completed several Ironman triathlons.
