Twitter Is Gushing Over President Biden’s Quesadilla Stop
By HOPE NGO
Tacos 1986 in Los Angeles recently went viral in a video that showed President Joe Biden dropping by to collect his order of chicken quesadillas. Biden was told he had a 50% public servant discount, so he left the cashier $60 to settle his bill, the tip, and to pay for the next person's meal.
Some dismissed Biden’s move as a publicity stunt, while others saw it as a sign of his generosity. One Twitter user, however, was concerned about the price of the meal given that everything on Taco 1986’s menu is $5 and under, saying, “Chicken Quesadillas for $16.45 after 50% discount…yet Joe insists ‘No Inflation.’”
The video even drew support from across the aisle — “Joe, as a proud conservative Republican, I gotta admit that you’re one of the best presidents we’ve ever had,” said a user. Biden himself got in on it, too, tweeting, "If you got the next quesadilla, let me know," but, so far, no one has come forward.
