Two McDonald's Fan Favorites Are Getting A Jalapeño Update
By ELAINA FRIEDMAN
McDonald's has just re-released the Jalapeño McChicken and Jalapeño Double, which are available in select markets (not nationally). The major difference in the limited-time versions of the McChicken and the Double is the addition of mildly spicy green peppers.
The McChicken, a signature chicken sandwich of the chain, is made with a fried chicken patty, shredded lettuce, and mayonnaise. The standard Double includes two hamburger patties, ketchup, mustard, onions, pickles, and American cheese.
For a limited time, the chain is adding pickled jalapeños, fried jalapeño chips, and ranch sauce to both sandwiches, as well as replacing the American cheese with white cheddar. The Jalapeño Double was first released in 2014, meaning it reappears on the menu once every several years.
