What Coca-Cola's New Flavor Dreamworld Really Tastes Like
By CHASE SHUSTACK
Coca-Cola’s newest soda venture involves selling folks the flavor of “Dreamworld,” described by Coke as a soda that "bottles up the technicolor tastes and surrealism of the subconscious.” It’s one of Coke’s “Fantasy Flavors,” which are meant to capture the taste of abstract concepts, but some may be wondering what exactly technicolor surrealism tastes like.
According to various reviews on the product, Coca-Cola “Dreamworld” has a citrus-mango taste, perhaps to invoke feelings of living in a tropical paradise. The almost candy-like citrus flavor should be enough to draw a customer back in to explore a flavor that isn’t usually seen in most Coke products.
According to CNN, cans and bottles of "Dreamworld" soda will be marked with a QR code that allows customers to access a virtual reality world, in which avatars can play games, dress up in a variety of outfits, and listen to music from a digital DJ. It seems people are pleased with Coca-Cola "Dreamworld," at least for the most part.
