What Time Should You Be Shopping At Costco?

The average Costco warehouse is 146,000 square feet, hosting an estimated 4,000 different products on its shelves, which is why shopping at Costco can be overwhelming. That said, there actually is a trick you can try if you want to avoid spending hours wandering the aisles at the wholesale depot.
If you want to shop without the chaos of the Costco crowds, your best bet is to visit the store an hour before they close so that you can avoid the early morning rush and the post-work dinner-makers. However, if you’re going an hour before closing, avoid going on the weekends, as they’re often busier than going in the middle of the week.
Most U.S. Costco locations close at 8:30 p.m. on weekdays and 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, but you might still want to check with your local Costco to see their closing hours. You may not have to face the crowd of the rush hours, but try to be efficient if you have a long shopping list, as you’ll be up against closing time.
