Why Brad Pitt Is Always Eating In His Movies
By KAREN HART
If you're a Brad Pitt fan, you've probably noticed how he is always nibbling on something in the "Ocean's" franchise as well as in movies like "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "Moneyball," and "Meet Joe Black." Pitt's eating skills in movies are so exceptional that casting director Caroline Liem once stated, "He's the Laurence Olivier of eating!"
Quite obviously, there has been much theorizing about his eating habits on screen, as well as the psychological and voyeuristic pleasure we get when we watch someone eat — but, when asked about it in an interview, Pitt revealed that he likes to nibble here and there. "I like to busy myself, I'm a grazer by nature," he said, providing us with the answer we've been looking for.
Pitt then went on to explain that there was actually some thought put into why he is always eating in the "Ocean's" movies. The actor noted, "There was actually [a] method to that, because [his character] was always on the run, always on the move, I figured he could never sit down and have a proper meal. So he always had to grab something on the run."
