Why Pimento Cheese Means So Much To Kardea Brown

Southern cuisine expert Kardea Brown hosts “Delicious Miss Brown” on Food Network, and also appears on other culinary shows such as “Beat Bobby Flay” and “Cooks vs. Cons.” Like many southerners, Brown had a deep love for a uniquely regional staple: pimento cheese, which actually helped the celeb chef in her early career.
Brown revealed on Instagram that she started her culinary career by “selling [her] famous pimento cheese out of the trunk of [her] car” and “barely making ends meet.” She added that in this early stage of her career, “It wasn't about the money [...] it was the feeling I got seeing people enjoy something I made.”
Brown’s classic pimento cheese recipe is very easy to prepare, and combines both soft and semi-soft cheeses, such as extra-sharp yellow cheddar, white cheddar, and cream cheese. The chef also loves to add the cheese mix to various other dishes, including her highly-rated Pimento Cheese Stuffed Burgers.
