Why You Should Never Buy Kraft Mac & Cheese From Dollar Tree
By MIKALA LUGEN
As the prices rise in every consumerism sector, you may find yourself at a Dollar Tree buying all kinds of items, from groceries to toiletries. However, if you love Kraft Macaroni & Cheese and it’s on your Dollar Tree shopping list, here’s why you need to reconsider that plan.
Dollar Tree's dollar status isn't quite as reliable as it used to be, and most items in the store’s inventory, which once cost only one dollar, now cost $1.25 due to the store’s “transformation plan” of offering a wider range of items. In short, Dollar Tree is no longer selling most of its merchandise for a dollar.
It might be hard to believe, but you’re actually paying more money to buy one packet of Kraft Mac & Cheese at Dollar Tree than at most other grocery stores. While a 7.25-ounce box of the cheesy noodles costs $1.25 at Dollar Tree, it’s sold at $1 at Walmart — and the 25 cents add up quite a bit when you buy multiple boxes at a time.
