Wendy's 4 For $4 Meal Just Got Hotter With Its New Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich
What a time for spicy chicken fans! On the heels of Jack in the Box re-releasing their popular Spicy Chicken Strips for a limited time, we come to you with even more spicy chicken-related news. According to Thrillist, national fast food chain Wendy's is celebrating the debut of their all-new Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich by including it as part of their 4 for $4 Meal Deal. The sandwich is described on Wendy's website as being made with juicy white chicken meat, marinated in their signature spice and pepper blend, and topped with romaine lettuce and creamy mayonnaise.
Wendy's 4 for $4 Meal Deal allows you to create your own meal from a selection of menu items. Currently, you can order the 4 for $4 Meal Deal and pair the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Jr. Cheeseburger, the plain Crispy Chicken Sandwich, or the new Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich with the chain's four-piece chicken nuggets, a small order of fries, and a 16-ounce drink.

"Wait," you may say, "Wendy's already had a spicy chicken sandwich — I ate one in June!" Well yes, they did, but Thrillist states that there are a few differences between this new Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich and the old menu item. A Wendy's spokesperson told the outlet that the new Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich is definitely a value menu item compared to the old spicy chicken sandwich, which they describe as more of a premium offering. The new Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich is decidedly smaller than the old menu item, comes with a chicken patty instead of chicken breast, and does not include a tomato.
In addition to the 4 for $4 Meal Deal, PR Newswire reports that Wendy's is partnering with delivery company Postmates to offer 44,444 customers a free 4 for $4 Meal Deal with any purchase of $10 or more through August 31st, 2020. To redeem the free 4 for $4 Meal Deal, fans need only to order at least $10 worth of food through the delivery service app and use the discount code SPICY444. The fast food chain announced this special coupon code at the end of the first episode of their new podcast, titled "Sir, This is a Wendy's Podcast," which could be a joke and not a serious podcast.
