The Pioneer Woman Just Gave A Timeframe For Her Next Cookbook

Ree Drummond's cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: The New Frontier, was released in the fall of 2019 and quickly hit the New York Times bestseller list. Fans loved her newest bookFrontier Follies: Adventures in Marriage and Motherhood in the Middle of Nowhere, and many posted their praises of her work on Instagram. User @joshandbrent crowed, "It's so funny and down to Earth," and @ahnisyah agreed, saying "I absolutely loved this book! It made me laugh so many times! Laughter is key for 2020!!!" And there is even more good news for Pioneer Woman fans as 2020 comes to a close. They will be excited to learn they won't have long to wait for another Pioneer Woman cookbook.

Drummond has announced she is already hard at work on another collection of recipes. According to the Pioneer Woman website, the new cookbook is due out in the fall of 2021, but there is still lots of work to be done before the book can hit the shelves. First, Drummond has to taste-test all the new dishes, but she also likes to balance out the snacking with some healthy exercise. During her virtual book tour, she announced, "I gotta get on the rowing machine. I've got some true crime documentaries I wanna watch, and that keeps me rowing."

Drummond plans to release her new book in the fall of 2021

However, it's not all snacking and watching true crime. There is a lot of clean-up involved as well. "In real life, when I'm developing and testing recipes, my kitchen quickly becomes a crazy mess of pots and pans and open containers," Drummond confessed. And once all the hard work in the kitchen is done, the hard work in the closet begins. "Choosing a shirt for the cover is a big commitment. I'll be wearing it on the front of that cookbook forever! I always test out a few options to find the right one," she says.

Drummond also admits, "I'm always late. Always, always, always. And with each new cookbook, I'm even later than I was with the last one." But with everything that she has on her plate – both figuratively and literally – it's no wonder she needs a little extra time, and her new cookbook is sure to be worth the wait.
