Yes, one of America's favorite candy bars, might attempt to step into the peanut butter industry and bring it's renowned filling to the millions of Americans who can't resist a smooth, chunky peanut spread (via Statista).

Taking advantage of National Peanut Butter Day on Jan. 24, Butterfinger took to social media to post a picture of the Butterfinger Crispety Crunchety Peanut Butter with the caption, "We just had the best idea for #NationalPeanutButterDay. Just kidding . . . Unless?" This left most consumers speechless at the mere thought of this actually coming to life. However, other candy bar lovers were quick to question the announcement. Hundreds more demanded that Butterfinger stop playing with the fragile emotions of its loyal eaters because this is no joking matter. Another Twitter user wrote, "Why hesitate?!? Make it happen!!! Take me to your hesitating leader." Keeping our fingers crossed this wasn't just a PR stunt. We are all anxiously awaiting further announcements, as this new peanut butter means we'll be able to take our PB&J sandwiches to a whole other level, forever changing the experience of the boring sandwich.
