Eggs have been making a comeback as a great protein-filled snack (via NPR), and Costco-lovers couldn't be happier. Costco superfan costcobuys spotted an exciting egg product and posted about it: "Anyone else a fan of egg bites? [hand raise emoji] These spinach & bell pepper egg bites are great! [tasty emoji] They're protein packed, take only 90 seconds to prepare, and you get four packs for $9.99!" (via Instagram). These bites are by Three Bridges Egg Bites. According to the company, each package has "creamy mini muffin shaped eggs whites with roasted red bell peppers, spinach, and a cheese and yogurt blend" (via the Three Bridges Egg Bites website). Each pack weighs 4.6 ounces.
These fluffy egg muffins seem pretty nutritious as well. With 15 grams of protein per serving, the bite-sized breakfasts also feature 7 grams of carbs and only 2 grams of sugar. For those in a hurry, the packages heat in 90 seconds and come in a small, convenient tray. Social media follower lupitaami1 said, "They are delicious and cheaper than Starbucks LOL." Instagram user chanimalkatie declared their affection for another flavor: "We love the bacon and cheese ones!"
Does Costco offer other egg bite flavors?
Yes, Costco has sold more than one flavor of these egg bites. In the past, Delish has reported on the chain selling the Three Bridges Egg Bites Uncured Bacon and Cheese flavor as well. It appears that Costco still does, though you may see a different selection for business or standard consumer shoppers (via Costco Business). This variety comes with uncured bacon and a three-cheese blend with regular eggs, not just the whites. It packs 20 grams of protein, only 1 gram of sugar, and 3 grams of carbs per serving.
While we cannot confirm they'll be carried at Costco, Three Bridges does also have additional flavors available for those who can't get enough of these breakfasts.
