This Halo Top Fall Favorite Is Returning Soon

If you are a fan of pumpkin flavoring, then you're probably looking forward to the upcoming fall season. It's just about that time of year when restaurants and grocery stores begin adding all kinds of delectable fall items to their menus and shelves, so you can enjoy the sweet and spicy treat in just about everything from lattes and cookies to pancake mix and even oatmeal.

However, there is one downside to this delicious season if you are also trying to be healthy — all these tempting pumpkin items can be hard to resist, but they also tend to be fairly high in sugar, fat, and calories, making them less-than-ideal if you're trying to watch calories and overall nutrition.

Luckily, however, Halo Top has a way for you to have your pumpkin pie, and eat it too. The light ice cream brand has just announced they will be bringing their tasty Pumpkin Pie flavor back to grocery store shelves nationwide through the holiday season, according to Brand Eating.

Halo Top's Pumpkin Pie ice cream is a big hit with fans

Halo Top prides itself on being a "light ice cream that actually tastes like ice cream," via their official website. And their returning Pumpkin Pie flavor is no different. Made with flaky pieces of pie crust, real pumpkin puree, and seasoned with cinnamon, turmeric, allspice, and caramelized sugar, it boasts all the same sweet, rich flavor of a traditional pumpkiny dessert, but without the guilt. It contains just 360 calories and zero grams of trans fat, and is even a great source of protein, with 18 grams of protein in a single container, according to Halo Top.

When Halo Top released their Pumpkin Pie light ice cream last fall, it was met with rave reviews. "I haven't been eating ice cream much since I'm not craving it in this pregnancy but I found this at Walmart yesterday and tried it tonight ... It's honestly one of the best!!! ...It had like lots of pieces in it ... Give it a try when you get a chance!" satisfied customer @kahorualiisa_ posted to the Halo Top Instagram account. "HERE FOR THIS" Instagram follower @alcrenn agreed. So one can assume Halo Top fans will be just as delighted to see the light and delicious dessert return to grocery store shelves this fall.
