TikTok Is Loving This Decadent Chick-Fil-A Meal Transformation
Everyone loves a good rags-to-riches transformation. Although Chick-fil-A is hardly what you would call low-end fast food, it's still not usually associated with macarons, the meringue-based sandwich cookie confection present in so many French bakeries. TikToker @danny.kim changed all that with the help of a professional chef friend, and the video is blowing up. The video already has more than 257,000 likes and hundreds of comments.
It follows Kim as he presents a chef with some pretty basic Chick-fil-A staples — nuggets, sauce, and an original chicken sandwich (pickles included). The pastry chef then decides to whip up a nice batch of macarons. "I guess you could call this a savory dessert," the TikToker says of the final product, a set of delectable macaron cookies with chicken bits, sauce, and even chopped pickles included in the final product. "This was SO MUCH FUN!!!" exclaims the chef in the comments section, before noting that she didn't wear gloves because the cookies were for personal consumption.
Fan reaction to Chick-fil-A macarons
Whether or not they actually have access to a Chick-fil-A, TikTok commenters were wowed by the chef's ability to turn fairly basic ingredients into something so posh. "People who can do this kinda stuff blow my mind!" said one user. Another added they were "definitely down" with the fast food macaron, and more than one person referred to it as "bussin," which is never a bad thing.
A few dissenters, however, hate to see perfectly good Chick-fil-A changed so drastically. "Don't waste Chick-fil-A like that," said one commenter. A different user joked, "You have triggered the French, beware Americans." Based on the buzz, it wouldn't be a bad idea for the chicken chain to take note and incorporate the delicious looking cookies into their menu. Chocolate chunk cookies, ice cream, and milkshakes are great and everything, but fancy chicken macarons are just so next level.
