The 3-Ingredient Trader Joe's Appetizer Perfect For Your Next Cocktail Party
When the holiday season is all wrapped up for another year, it may seem like the chaos that comes with planning, hosting, and attending back-to-back get-togethers has finally come to an end. Many may find the breather to be much needed, but while your social calendar may be free of any major events for a bit, it might only be a matter of time before your schedule starts filling up once again.
Believe it or not, we're less than a month out from Super Bowl LVII, which NBC Sports says is slated to be held on Sunday, February 12, and will be followed up by Galentines and Valentine's day festivities. St. Patrick's Day is just a flip of the calendar after that, and then there's Easter, Cinco de Mayo, and the start of summer, which means backyard barbeques, beach trips, and pool parties for weeks on end before tailgating season starts up once more. Then, before you know it, you'll find yourself planning out all of your Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's activities that will take us into the next year.
We don't know about you, but we're already getting tired thinking not only of all the happenings slated for the upcoming year but all the food we have to make for them, as well. Fortunately, one clever Instagrammer is helping take some of the pressure off thanks to their simple appetizer recipe that uses just three ingredients from Trader Joe's and "comes together in 30 seconds or less."
TJ's shoppers love this easy appetizer
It can be tough picking out which dishes to serve or contribute to a cocktail party or holiday gathering, but with Instagram user @spicyjoes' all-Trader Joe's appetizer, you can have a crowd-pleasing snack ready in no time at all. Per a video shared to the Instagrammer's page on December 24, the starter calls for just three TJ's ingredients: cream cheese, crackers, and the grocer's Hot & Sweet Pepper Jelly that made its seasonal return to shelves in September last year (via Reddit).
In their upload, the user simply pours the flavorful jelly over the block of cream cheese and serves it alongside crackers, though Instagram user @traderjoeslist opted to kick the presentation by serving the starter butter board style in their re-creation on December 30. No matter how you serve it, TJ's shoppers seem to be completely in love with this easy-to-make dish. "So pretty and delicious," one person wrote on @spicyjoes' post, while another in the comments section of @traderjoeslist's upload called it the "best combo ever."
Sadly, if you don't already have a jar of TJ's elusive pepper jelly, it may be a while before you can give it a try. According to another commenter, warehouses are "tapped out" of the product until September. While that means you might not be able to whip up this all-TJ's app for Super Bowl Sunday, at least you've got an appetizer ready for when holiday season rolls around again.
