This Is Kim Kardashian's Favorite Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream Flavor
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is one of those celebrities who is basically famous for being famous, along with inheriting millions from her OJ-defending dad, taking selfies of her butt, marrying other celebrities, and coming up with creative names for her kiddies. All of that sound relatable? Yeah, maybe not so much.
One thing Kim's known for, though, that makes her seem a bit more like the rest of us, is her well-publicized love of ice cream. She's given a shout-out to Breyer's, cheated on her diet at Sloan's, and even held daughter North's 5th birthday celebration at a make-your-own flavor ice cream place called CoolMess where they dreamed up such creative concoctions as vanilla with Oreos and gummy bears and chocolate with pretzels, M&Ms, marshmallows, and Oreos.
While Kim has tweeted that Ben and Jerry's Mint Chocolate Cookie is one of her all-time "faves," the ice cream she consistently proclaims her passion for is Haagen-Dazs' Dulce de Leche — not just a favorite flavor but, according to a 2015 interview with Harper's, "my favorite thing in life" (sorry, Kanye and kids).
How does Kim's favorite flavor taste?
While Kim herself isn't big on detailed product reviews, the Haagen-Dazs website describes its Dulce de Leche flavor as "a delicious combination of caramel and sweet cream, swirled with ribbons of golden caramel," and customers awarded it 4.8 out of 5 stars. One product review noted, "The caramel isn't super sweet," while another enthused, "This is one of the richest, creamiest Ice creams I have ever had. My spoon practically glides through it like butter."
The ice cream blog Scoop Adventures did find Dulce de Leche's caramel flavor to be "pronouced [sic] and very sweet" and too rich to eat more than a small scoop, but another ice cream blog, Two Girls, One Scoop, called the caramel flavor "nice [and] light" and found the ice cream to be "rich but not overwhelming... sweet, [but] definitely not sickly sweet."
Will you like it? Depends on your fondness for all things caramel (or all things Kardashian). If you want to eat like Kim, though, a few pints of Haagen-Dazs Dulce de Leche in the freezer is an absolute must-have.
