Someone Made John Legend & Chrissy Teigen Out Of Meat And We Can't Look Away

Even the most math-averse among us know certain equations to be true beyond the shadow of a doubt: chocolate plus strawberries equals deliciousness; too much booze plus cell phone equals regrettable text messages. Well, here's another mathematically proven fact: boredom plus social media equals bizarro world innovation. Case in point, this tweet where a woman from New York apparently spent countless hours of her leisure time creating a portrait of fellow Twitter user (also supermodel, mega-celebrity, TV personality, cookbook author, and somewhat of a chef in her own right) Chrissy Teigen, along with her hubs, singer (and occasional Willy Wonka impersonator) John Legend.

Hmm, ok, and this is noteworthy because? Well, as somebody famous once said, "The medium is the message," and the medium this Twitter user chose was... well, we have no idea what message she was intending to send, but the medium was certainly a unique, and quite likely very tasty, if not terribly nutritious, one: lunch meats.

Meet the meat people

The Twitter user introduced her creation by saying, "Hey @chrissyteigen and @johnlegend I made you terrifying meat people!!" Terrifying... not really, though guaranteed to strike fear into the heart of any truly dedicated vegan. Freaky, though, that's for sure. Chrissy's face is made out of — turkey, maybe? And is that salami for her hair? John's face is possibly pastrami, though it's kind of hard to know for sure. The couple is surrounded by a tasteful ensemble of crudités, cheeses, crostini, and yet more deli meats, although the Chrissy Teigen Cravings-branded serrated santoku knife at the top of the composition adds a chef-like, yet slightly serial killer-ish, creepy vibe.

As to how Legend and Teigen reacted to their cold cut clones, the former just said "oh God," while the latter gave a cheery "Lmao!" (Teigen, a self-proclaimed potential cannibal, was hardly likely to object to the prospect of anyone eating her face, after all.) Other commenters found the creation to be both "amazing creative" and "weird," with one remarking on Legend's cool pickle tie, while another noticing meat Chrissy's resemblance to Fred Armisen. (Armisen himself has yet to weigh in.)

Could this be a trend, #EdibleCelebs? Just when you thought things couldn't possibly get any wackier...
