Over 40% Of People Agree That This Restaurant Has The Best Chicken Nuggets
When you're in the mood for fast food, there are a lot of ways to satisfy your craving for all things greasy, fried, and delicious. While juicy burgers paired with sizzling hot fries are always a go-to, chicken nuggets have quickly become an equally popular order. Since their invention in the early 1960s, the meaty morsels have risen in demand, with McDonald's reportedly selling an average of 2,500 pounds of chicken every two minutes with their cult-favorite McNuggets. Chick-fil-A's nuggets have also been the top-selling menu item at the chain for two years in a row.
But of all the fast-food chains with chicken nuggets on their menu, which one has the best? Mashed surveyed 656 people to find out. Given six popular options (McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, Burger King, Wendy's, Popeyes, and KFC), this is the restaurant that over 40% of people say has the tastiest chicken nuggets you can get.
Chick-fil-A is where it's at
Given that Chick-fil-A is a chain devoted solely to all things chicken, it's not a surprise that it came out on top in the search for the best chicken nuggets, scoring over 40% of the votes. The nuggets actually started when customers loved the classic Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich so much that they wanted to enjoy it in bite-sized form. Thus, the famous chicken nuggets were born.
Besides Chick-fil-A, however, how did other fast food chains stack up? McDonald's came in second, with over 26% of people dubbing the McNuggets the best chicken nuggets out there. Wendy's came in third, with nearly 10% of the votes, followed by Popeyes with 7% and Burger King with 6%. Surprisingly, KFC, a chain devoted to chicken, came in last with only 5% of people choosing it as the best. Of the 3.8% that chose "other," many said they either don't eat chicken nuggets or are vegan.
