Peeps Has Good News For Fans

Peeps, the extra special candy brand that's known for its lovable, vibrant marshmallow treats, wasn't doing so hot in terms of business as of last year. As reported by Eat This, Not That!, the coronavirus pandemic adversely affected the company and halted all operations briefly. Owned by a company called Just Born Quality Confections, Peeps' factories suffered major setbacks when two locations in Pennsylvania were closed last March on account of COVID-19.

Back then, customers were told that they would still have access to candies for Easter thanks to the fact that the company had managed to ship those already. However, things got worrying when it was revealed in September that there would be no candies for Halloween or Christmas (via CNN). The company said in a statement, "This situation resulted in us having to make the difficult decision to forego production of our seasonal candies for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day." It added that production was on to make sure that they were on track to supply enough candies for everyday use as well as for next Easter.

Well, fortunately, if you're a fan of Peeps, the company has finally revealed much-needed good news to the public. Here's what you should know.

Peeps candies are coming back to stores

Things are finally looking up as Peeps have made a grand comeback to stores, just in time for Easter. According to Delish, some of the candies are now available online and in some select stores. And if you're lucky, you may be able to get your hands on something special like the Peeps Party Cake and Hot Tamales. Hooray!

According to Eat This, Not That!, there's a lot to look forward to! The brand is finally bringing back its colorful bunnies and chicks to its loyal fans, ensuring Easter baskets won't be void of the iconic candy. Peeps is also keeping its fans hooked with glimpses into what's going on behind the scenes. On its Twitter account, it's posted a few teasers of at what's to come, including pink rabbit candies that have already been spotted in a tweet from the company. Seems like the brand definitely has a few surprises up its sleeve. Who's excited for Easter?
