Chick-Fil-A Fans Are Mourning The Loss Of This Breakfast Item

Some Chick-fil-A fans might have tears in their coffee this morning. As Mashed reported in February, the Chick-fil-A multigrain bagel will be removed from the breakfast menu. Chick-fil-A announced that, as of April 26, both the Sunflower Multigrain Bagel and decaf coffee will be officially cut (via The Chicken Wire).

The company's rationale is that these changes will allow its restaurants to run more efficiently and allow the brand to focus on seasonal, limited-edition food choices. Although the menu changes might be beneficial to Chick-fil-A, fan reaction has been swift. As seen on Reddit, many Chick-fil-A fans are unhappy. From statements like "The bagel sandwich was my favorite menu item" to "absolutely devastated," many people wish that the menu change was an April Fools' joke.

While the multigrain breakfast bagel and the decaf coffee are leaving the Chick-fil-A breakfast menu, there are plenty of other tasty options left. From the always popular Chick-n-Minis to the hashbrown scramble burritos, the early morning menu isn't eliminated completely. Still, there is a little time to enjoy that bagel before it disappears. But, for bagel fans, there will be a hole on the Chick-fil-A breakfast menu going forward.

What Chick-fil-A breakfast item can fill the bagel's hole?

With the Sunflower Multigrain Bagel leaving the Chick-fil-A breakfast menu, what are some good nutritional choices as an alternative? While people can debate the best breakfast menu item, (could be those Chick-n-Minis), the reality is that some of the menu choices are tasty and pack some good nutrition. Even if the fruit cup might be a little boring, there is another option that can be a good way to start the day.

Many people are fans of the Greek Yogurt Parfait. While the menu item is really simple — vanilla Greek yogurt with fresh berries — the combinations of flavors and textures are delightful. Plus, the topping can be customized a little (via Chick-fil-A). If you don't like the tartness from the cranberries, you can pick those items out. The combination of nuts for crunch and the fruit for sweetness makes this Chick-fil-A breakfast food a must.

Still, some Chick-fil-A fans and even employees will be feeling the loss: "RIP to my sausage egg & cheese bagel when I go on break," one worker wrote on Reddit.
