Copycat Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Recipe

If you have not yet tried a Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage, well, let's just say you are seriously missing out! Think Oreo crunch with blended cream and coffee goodness. Before you rush out the door to your nearest Starbucks, wait up! Because along with Mashed, Susan Olayinka, who blogs at The Flexible Fridgehas created this Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage copycat recipe that she tells us "is very close to the real thing." She adds about this delicious treat, "It's honestly so good and so refreshing."

Although this beverage has a big name, Olayinka told Mashed, "it's quite easy." You'll need to make coffee, and a blender is mandatory — as are Oreos. Once you have your ingredients and supplies lined up, it's game on. The recipe creator told us about her version of the Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage: "I love make this in the summer, and I'm definitely gonna make this when we have people over for breakfast."

Gather your ingredients for this Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage copycat recipe

You won't have to shop for many specialty ingredients to create this Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage copycat recipe. Likely, you'll already have milk on hand, which Olayinka notes can be of the dairy or dairy-free variety depending on your preference. The recipe also calls for hot chocolate powder, instant coffee, Oreos, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream for the final flourish.

Finally, you'll need caster sugar. If you are not familiar with this type of sweetener, Olayinka explains to Mashed, "Caster sugar is just like any other sugar, but it's thinner, so it's much easier to blend." Can't find caster sugar? In the United States, it will sometimes be referred to as "superfine sugar" instead.

Once your ingredients are assembled, the hardest part of this ingredient is waiting! As Olayinka explains, you'll want to get this recipe started the night before you make it.

Freeze your coffee cubes for this Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage copycat recipe

Indeed, Olayinka recommends making the coffee for your frothy coffee Frappuccino the night before you plan to enjoy this Oreo-laden indulgence. She used instant coffee, adding the granules to hot water. Once the coffee cools off, pour the coffee into ice cube molds, or do as Olayinka did and employ a silicone muffin tray for oversized cubes. Then freeze the coffee overnight.

"I used frozen coffee blocks for this Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage copycat recipe because it's much easier than using liquid coffee and ice," she explained, adding, "I feel that it brings the drink together."

Of course, you could try coffee and ice if you simply cannot wait eight hours to sample this copycat drink. But patience may pay off, since Olayinka swears her recipe closely mimics the Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage so well. Meanwhile, if you are making this drink for kids, using ice alone and skipping the coffee is the way to go.

Add the Oreos to this Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage copycat recipe

The next day, you will add your coffee blocks or cubes to a blender. Next, the milk goes in, followed by your hot chocolate powder and the caster sugar. Olayinka recommends blending the ingredients for about 30 seconds before adding in your Oreo cookies.

Pulse those Oreos about ten times to incorporate everything. Then, your Starbucks Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage copycat recipe is ready to be poured into glasses. If desire even more sweet deliciousness, you can drizzle chocolate sauce on top of the blended drink. Want even more? Top the cookie creation with whipped cream, or go for both.

Want to add a final flourish? Crumble another Oreo atop the black-and-white wonder. And then, for goodness sake, sample your sweet treat! A cute straw is 100 percent optional but highly recommended.
